Seth Fisher is dead

Comic and concept artist Seth Fisher has apparently died, cause unknown. Though Fisher was never an A-List artist his art was always unique and eye-catching. The fact that he kept his math background in mind as he illustrated fascinates me as a right/left brain dichotemy. Here's a quote from an interview with The College of Colorado Bulletin: “Art is really just problem solving in action. You start with a few lines, then you try to balance those lines with other lines compositionally, then you balance that with trying to explain a certain space or emotion….Perspective, composition, timing, and color theory are technical skills. You have a problem, and you have this toolbox full of techniques that you use to paint a totally unique bridge from an assumption to its implications.” Ao, if you have the time, take a moment to stop by his webpage and enjoy some unique art and pay respects to a fallen comrade.

Wow. The initial article I read said that the cause was not known at the time. However, that was a Newsarama article and Matt can only work with what he knows. That's a real shame to hear that.

I khow it! Iron Man/FF was a sign of his career on the upswing too. One Newsarama poster put forth the thought, "What if Seth had worked on a Dr. Strange mini?" Now that would have been damn cool. His style would have worked very well with the Sorcerer Supreme.
